The Transcultural Nursing Society (TCNS) Member Circles and Groups Directory provides a central location to explore all chapters, committees, special‑interest circles, and member‑only groups within our community. The accordion sections below describe the types of circles and groups available to TCNS members.
How to use this directory
- Review circle and group descriptions
- Use the accordion sections (Available Chapters, Member Groups, Governance, Society Communications for Membership) to read brief descriptions of each type of circle or group.
View and request membership in circles
- To see all circles you can join, and any private or assigned circles you are already enrolled in, select the Circle Viewing and Sign‑Up button at the bottom of this page.
From there, you can:
- View all open‑access circles available for member participation
- See any private or assigned circles you are currently enrolled in
- Request to join circles that are open to member participation
- Groups marked Access for Appointed Members are limited to individuals formally appointed to serve.
- Special Interest Circles are open to TCNS members by request and may require approval before participation. If they indicate you can join, click the button to participate.
- Networking Chapters require active chapter membership; members may join any chapter they wish and may participate in multiple chapters.

Circle Information
How to Request to Join a Group or Circle
To join a Special Interest Circle or any group that requires approval:
- Submit a request to staff@tcns.org to express your interest and include any relevant qualifications or reasons for joining.
- Please allow up to 48 hours for confirmation of your membership approval, which may include additional instructions or requirements.
